Hi,

Just wanted to find out if any of you have come across this problem. When I bought my third gen it had the bose system with an aftermarket CD(pioneer) head unit. Today I repaced it with a brand spankin' new Kenwood CD head unit. I had no problems getting power to it and the radio/tuner works. The anntenna even works great. I placed a CD in and it reads the tracks and it seems like it's being read but no sound is coming out. All I did was...I took the old harness from the Pioneer, cut them and spliced it on to the Kenwood. I made sure that all wires went where they should.

Funny thing is that I tried it on another Sony head unit and had the same problem. What am I doing wrong? Please advise.

i think u forgot to hook up the amp wire in the stock slot, thats y u r not hearing any sound out of ur system so check ur amp wire i forgot which one it is so if u need more help email me thanks

 

If your radio works and you are getting sound from that its not the install but the deck. If there was something wrong you would not hear anything out of the speakers
