new speakers REALLY quiet

i just put in some 4" eclipse coaxials in the dash hooked it up to the stock wiring and they sound REALLY quiet. i had to fad my hu to the front and turn the volume all the way up just to be able to hear a little. im a newb to audio so im probably doing something obviously wrong.

What deck are you running of it? Try tuning from the deck, i.e. loud on, fie up, etc.

Let me get this straight. Are you running your system like this: source unit > wiring harness > stock wiring > speakers?

adjusting the fade should make zero difference in the sound level coming from the speakers, that will only reduce the level from the rears, thus making the fronts seem more prominent, but still just as loud as when the fade is set to center.

are you running an aftermarket head or stock?

So your front speakers are barely audible, but your rears work fine?
