New instrument cluster chrome rings...

This week-end I'll be replacing the Instrument Cluster plexi-glass that has all the instrument gauge chrome rings.

Any tips for a smooth install would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I'll have to, being that it'll be my first attempt at taking the Panel apart. I think there's only four screws that hold the Panel onto the hood??

Thanks Mahjik. Always good to hear from you.

Yea, I can't remember off hand. 3-4 sounds about right.

I know when I took all my panels out to paint them, I ended up with several extra screws after the reinstall!

It will look like a new dash when you get it put back in the car. It's amazing sometimes how something so small can make such a difference.

I just ordered it this morning, along with other goodies. I should get everything by Friday. I didn't ask Ray for the Part Number, but the cost of the instrument cluster plexi-glass was $74.94.

I've always had that problem also. I'm glad I'm not a Surgeon.

They are glued on so you can separate them, but they aren't sold separately.

I replaced mine but didnt really pay any attention to the separating part.

So can you remove the rings and paint them with a chrome paint and glue them back?

If so I will have to take my extras and do this to see how it works.
