Talking New Fiberglass enclosure

Just finished redoing my fiberglass enclosure. I followed the same model as my first one, but made this one .5cuft larger. You know how 15's need there room. I have yet to test this on my hand held meter, but I can tell you that this thing _uckin pounds harder then the old one.
The frame

Little bondo after fiberglassing. (Actually 2 gallons to get the contors right)

The final product, with new speaker grill.

I also redid my amp rack, adding a power distrabution and ground blocks so that it would be easier to add goodies down the road. I'm thinking about adding a little neon to the amp rack, but I;m not sure.

I have the old one sitting around. If anyone would like it hit me up. It has around 20 hours of work in it and around $180 in supplies. So I'm thinking $225 plus shipping. It is rather large and weighs around 40 lbs, so shipping may costs. But if your within driving distance, you could drop by.

looks good but i'll never understand why someone needs that much bass in the small of a car... my brother has 2 10" in his 99 Jeep cherokee and that is almost too much! Why would you want a 15" in an FB?

all that weight will be good for traction in the winter though haha

Because that's the only good thing about the car.

I like FBs too. They're not much performance-wise, but you can't turn your back on the FD's grandpa.

Seriously though, who in the hell needs a 15" sub in such a small *** car??? Do you have a hearing problem or something?

that's nothing. my old fb had 4 12" subs in it, and i plan on doing the same with my new fb. car audio has come a long way though since i had my old system 9 years ago. with today's better subs and amps, im sure to make alot more bass this time around. my old system topped out at 143.6db.

john64, looks great!. what are the specs of the amp powering it? make sure to post your db level if you ever get it tested.

To each their own, a lot of people ask me why I spend so much $$$ on my engine, to that I don't have an answer

Thanks guys. Well I only had it turned up once and it has to be the loudest system I have ever had and I have had alot of them. I have a handheld meter that I will test this thing out with once the weather is better and I get it out of the driveway. No need to **** off the neighbers.
Oh, I grew up in S.FLA so thats why I like the bass, and hey I don't care about the weight, I'm 6'2" 275, so **** all that. My 85 FB looks alot better then your FD!

Sorry, specs on the amp. Its an older JBL GTS600. I have 2 of then because they kick ***. it runs 300x2 at 4 ohms. The sub can take a hell of alot more then that tho.

skb18215, you just posted in another thread that you have 2 10's. Hey I've done the storage bin subs before, they where ok especially for space (hit around 132db). I just desided to go all out on this one(in the 140's).

Do I really think so? I know so! I used to own an FB! It was an '83 Limited Edition just like this one:

Nice looking car, but a DOG performance-wise.

To each their own...
True. "John64's" FB is clean, and the enclosure looks to be professionally designed and built, but most people wouldn't put a 15" sub in such a small car. No point to do so other than to impress all the high school kids.
