Crazy 3rd Gen Wheel Idea/Awesome SSR Integrals for Sale Soon
Hi guys,
I'm still in search of a kickass Wheel combo for my RX-7 w/the new advanced design suspension (still isn't on BTW), and was wondering if anyone has tried adapting Porsche wheels to the RX-7...
How close is the offset/bolt pattern? I'm thinking of the lightweight/pretty 18x10" 5-spoke Twin Turbo rims, stock take off,
hopefully chrome, and hopefully for <$2000. If they'll fit properly, and if the weight is decent, this might make a really beautiful and unique combo. :]
Possible? Impossible? Just plain stupid? <GRIN> Opinions wanted. (I'm also wide open to other suggestions for 17x10/18x10 wheels in a 5-spoke or BBS Style mesh design that are polished or chromed for <$600/wheel).
Thanks again!
(I'll also most likely be posting my SSR Integrals w/P7000s for sale fairly soon, god I love em, but really want something wider now that I can fit it!)
------------------
Mods as of 3/2001 are as as follows. APEXi boost gauge, SSR Integral 18x9 forged aluminum wheels w/Pirelli P7000 255/35/18s all around. Upgraded headlights and foglights (from 35/55 watt headlights to 90/130 watts, and from 35 watt foglights to 100 watts). Current brakes are the M2 Wilwood Big Brake kit, DOT stainless lines, Motul 600 fluid, and Crooked Willow Carbon Fiber Brake Ducts. Power mods: M2 Intake, Power FC ECU, HKS Twinpower Ignition, M2 Medium Intercooler, N-Tech Downpipe, Pettit Resonated Midpipe, Racing Beat Dual Tip Stainless Cat-Back, Bosch Fuel Pump, Rebuilt Engine (balanced/blueprinted), Rebuilt Stock Turbos (Balanced/Blueprinted/Ported), and a Bosch Fuel Pump. Suspension: M2 Advanced Design Double Adjustable Shocks and Coilover kit, replaced all stock bushings, GAB Strut Tower Brace. Soundsystem mods: Pioneer Premier P1R Head Unit, 2 Soundstream D200 Amps (AWESOME), Dynaudio System 240 Mk II Seperates (7"/1.1"), and a Soundstream Exact 12" Subwoofer in a custom fiberglass enclosure in the spare tire well.

Dozer,
Anything can be done given enough money, but i think you will find that a porsche wheel just aint gonna happen. It has a 130mm bolt circle i believe. Our Fds have a 114.3mm bolt circle. the offsets are close i think, like 50 to 60mm. the 4wd cars have a 60 or 70mm offset i think. dont hold me to these numbers but i think im close. my friend has a carrera4 and we just got new Fikses for him so i has listening to all these numbers he was throwing around so thats where im getting my info from. Anyway it is a cool idea let me know if you find out anything more

Hi,
I would also be interested in purchasing those SSR Integrals. BTW, are they the anthracite coloured wheels? And what is the rim size?
Thanks,
A.j.
