The '99 lip comes black. IMO, if it's going on a black car (that is driven on the street, not a show only car) it's a waste of money to paint it black.

All you'll be doing is giving it the opprotunity to chip.

I think they look much better left unpainted, and as mahjik said, youll only be giving it the opportunity to chip.

Unpainted. The only car color I would consider painting the lip would be silver.

If it is red or yellow painting it would look dope. I belive that the darker colors don't need to be painted (MB, Black) and white should just be left black because it's a nice contrast.

Id say paint it. The lip looks out of place unpainted on some cars.

Thumbs down

I've seen it painted in Blue Mica, Yellow, Red and Silver and does not looks good.
But to each his own, never mind what we think or like, it's all about what you like and makes you feel good.

I would leave it unpainted if you do not have any sideskirts. The car will end up looking "bucktooth" with a painted lip & stock sides (i feel).

You can always decide to paint it later on down the road when you get some skirts.

Keep it unpainted - the paint will chip, and it will look dumb.

I read the site and liked the price, but I still have to ask. Is the bumper polyurethane (even though they say it's oem)?

BTW-leave it unpainted

Yep.. its Urethane bumper.. That was the main reason for me to go with OEM 99's.. I had fiberglass bumper and it sucks when little stones chip your front end..
