Need New Speakers In the FD

so since i had the car about for years ago the back speaker/speakers are blown, i would have to have it on -6 (max) bass so i can listen to music without any horrible noise. Now i am tired of it and would like to get new speakers, whats good to get? something that will fit right in.

i also would like front speakers aswell, so i looking for all 4

The direct replacement sized Boston Acoustics at Crutchfield seem like they would work. That is what I plan on getting. BA usually sound very nice.

just modify the brakets, or make a mdf adapter, then throw in a set of soundstream van gogh, or HERZ
sounds amazing, the stock coffeefilters are horribel

I use stock size Infinity Reference's and love em. If you aren't going crazy with you audio system then just get the most basic aftermarket speaker in the stock size.

I'm going to get some infinity tweeters soon to mold into my door panel and that will really set it off.

you could find stock speaker size by a simple search but I'll help you out

Front: 5 1/4
Rear: 6x8 or 5x7 (most speakers that are this size have holes for both 6x8 and 5x7)

These are tweeters

They are for high frequencies and really bring out the detail in your sound system. I'm gonna put these in my door panels eventually.

I dad all Jl adio stuff in my fc and it sounded like a concert hall. It was fantastic, I used to win sound quality comps all the time. Good luck. Compared to what you've been used to you could put any kinda of crap speakers in and you will be happy as a clam.

yes. So what I'm saying is....you don't need tweeters. So stop worrying about it. Just get 5 1/4 speakers for the front and 6x8 for the back

You need to read up if you don't know what tweeters are. Those two tweeters pictured above are each 1 inch across, hence, 1 inch speakers.

ive installed multiple sound systems in my life and listened to all types of speakers. In my time i have decided that kicker speakers and subwoofers are of the highest quality, and can also be very very loud if the money is spent. I recommend you look into them for your upgraded sound system, also try buying your system online or from a reliable flee market in order to save money. Places like best buy and circuit city rip you off horribly, nearly doubling the wholesale value in this department.

surprisingly ebay can be very good and reliable, just make sure you only buy from reputable sellers. Typically auto design dealers will own franchises off ebay and sell you items for surprisingly cheap.
