If you put it on without the hinges and engage the 2nd click, how would u get around to see where u can drill?

 

i left the hood off the hinges so i could move the hood around where i wanted it to make sure the latch would clear. If it didnt clear id trim some more. Once i got that done i took the hood off and extended the holes on the hinges. All i knew for drilling the hinges is that my hood needed to go forward at least a half and inch so extending the holes allowed for that half inch of play forward and back. I'd like to take a look at the pictures you said you have, you should post them up.
