Its not takeing any CD, will not power up completely, when I connected a tester to the power it was pulseing not stead.. I wonder how many fuses are in this thing. I think it might be a capcitor or the power supply but I am not sure. Any thoughts?

Check your connections.... do you get a good +12 v constant and switched? Are you testing the wires with the deck unplugged or while it's plugged in? If the wires are giving you what they should with the deck unplugged, check to see if any of your speaker leads are shorted to ground or each other.

how i did my quick check: grabed the constant power and the switched power turned them together and then grabed the ground.. I connected these 3 cables directly to the battery. Then the light on the tester turns off and then on. I think I am just going send it kenwood service center and go from there. but first I am going to try a few more things

I see... sounds like you have a problem in the internal power supply. Might be shorting to ground somewhere inside... just a guess based on the symptoms.
