My FD with Flat Metallic Paint
Finally got the car out of the paintjob after two month were spent on a full body restauration and a full paintjob.
Its a Mazda Metallic Winning Blue with a special matte clear coat.
Front is Sanai Works, Feed Front Fenders and a custom rear fender out of metall. The car will also receive Feed carbon Sides and Sanai Carbon rear diffusor.
Now I just need to find some wheels that will fit the arches.
Oh yeah and totally reassemble the whole car.

It was black but had a bad paintjob in the past when it came over from the US. One of the original owners must had a little crash on the rear panel (didnt show up on the carfax) and they just plastered it with bondo and painte over the whole car not even removing the antenna or wiper.
So we took it down to bare metall and did it right inc. engine bay and everything.

this reminds me of the time when i had to work on a car for weeks to make it look perfect, but to find the owner wants to throw on a flat color paint job..wast of time and money in my opinion....one day you will look at the car and wish it was shiny and glossy...and then spend more money to reclear it or repaint it...
but props for the nice blue anyways..

If I want it shiny I just have to bust out my polishing machine. As soon as you go over it with a good polishing compound it gets shiny. So I have the best of both worlds

intresting, the mix of flat paint with metallic just make it looks like a dull paint job IMO.. i would have just gone flate or metallic, but not mixed, but its your car, good luck on the restoration.

I really don't get this.......The paint looks good and it still retains class and high quality the rx7 should have. I hope that all that are flaming this paint job are also flaming the purple sparkle wheels in an other thread.........
LOOKS GOOD........love the color
