My deck is playing little radio games with me

So, life was good. Was driving to work one morning listening to my boom booms, and the my deck shut off and turned back on..... Few seconds later, same thing. Now, every time I accelerate, my deck loses all power, when I push my brakes in, my deck now has power...... What in the world is going on here!

Can anyone help me with my wiring? Its all wrong. Previous owner did something. There is wires that say tail light and turn signals etc..... My deck shouldn't be wired into turn signals. Which means those wired are wrong. If someone is interested in helping I'll upload pics ASAP. Thanks.

sounds like someone might have added a DRL relay or something. I had to wired mine (JDM import in canada) i used the accessory on / 12V from the stereo to provide the +12v constant and trigger for the relay, tied both the relay ground and my car stereo ground together. then ran the out from the relay to my park lamps. when i first wired them i had reconnected both the trigged out from the relay and the input from the light switch on the searing, any time i turned my signals on or turned my headlamps on my radio would cut out. just had to snip the side of the wires coming off the switch into the park lamps and BOOM fixed.

i hope this helps, sounds like you do have a bad ground / ground loop somewhere.

what happened was that the previous owner installed the metal housing for the deck.... or whatever that part is that the deck sits in. and he attatched the ground to that metal housing. the frame of the deck is also metal, so the deck grounded anytime it was sitting in that metal housing. smart idea, but the wire came un soddered from me pulling wires too many times. i went ahead and wired it to the black ground wire behind my deck instead. i think its their for a reason..

anyways,
thanks!
