my car was in an accident and i'm having the dent pulled out *questions*
its on the rear passenger quarter panel
the body shop is just going to pull out the damage use some bondo...
my question is this, are there any parts behind the body panel that could have possibly been damaged?
basically, what i'm worried about is having the car fixed, perse, and looking nice, but still being "broken"

Go to a GOOD body shop and don't worry about it. If the panel is repairable, it's not likely the structure behind the panel is damaged.

i can't afford a good body shop. a good body shop wants 4000 dollars. that's almost half the price of the car.

Even welding a new quarter panel in would still have been under $3k, you are getting tooled.

Even with a new quarter panel, unless they get attached the these cars different than older cars, they are going to have to use some bondo/filler at some point.
When fixing my car wasn't loaded with cash, but with alot of pulling, hammering and a little bit of filler here and there it turned out looking great. You still need to worry about structual damage behind the panel as those parts from mazda might be expensive. The little bit of structual damage I had got pulled out.
I was suprised to find out that the fenders are very light steel rather than aluminum.
