My bose stopped working?
My bose stopped working?
Tonight I was driving my car, and my center speaker went out. No big deal I heard it happens all the time. But my driver side speaker has worked off and on ever since I got the car, but it stopped working all together about a week or 2 ago. So now only the passenger side works. What would you guys do? I don't really care about the "Bose" or anything, and I a little bit of extra money (thanks to Uncle Sam) So would you just put in new speakers? Is there a way I can just bypass the Bose all together? Or do I need to take out the HU and run new wires to the speakers? Thanks for any info you can give me.
Oh ok I see. I have an aftermarket headunit...should have said that in the first post. And just by changing the speakers with the bose ones will fix my issuses? Or do I have to get my amps fixxed no matter what?
if your amps are blown than your speakers will either not work properly or at all. There is a thread somewhere on how to fix the bose amps but I can't remember the search terms used to find it. Maybe you can try and then post it here.
If you should decide to repair your amps then you will need another bose adapter that connects to your HU and bose speakers its about 90 and easy to install. Otherwise run new speakers

Running new speakers seems easier, but what about install? Do I just simply take out the old 'rotary' looking ones, and put in some new ones, or do I need to run all new wires to all the speakers?
