Molding plastic and fiberglass??

I wanna mount either a gauge or a device on top of my steering column.. but was wondering if I would run across any problems w/ molding a 53mm or 60mm gauge pod on the top.. just like the RE Amemiya one?

Basically, I was goin to cut a portion out of the top of the steering column cover, place a protected 53mm gauge and fiberglass over it and blend it in w/ the plastic to keep the clips intacked... or should I just use bondo?

I also wanna mold my mickey mouse gauge panel onto the factory instument cluster hood....

suggestions???
