mazda discontinued parts

some of you may already know but mazda discontinued alot of parts. i was able to order one of the last windshield window trim sets left.... guy said there were only 6 left for the left side front windshield. and about the same quantity for the right side.

being those are the only parts i cant really re-furbish with a fresh coat of paint (or at least didnt want to go threw the hastle trying) i went ahead and ordered the 2.

guy was nice enough to give me 50% off on these parts. i was very lucky.

not sure what else is discontinued. items like exterior trim, emblems, stock replacement stickers ECT.

not just Mazda many makers stop production on parts after a certain age, I had issues with sourcing some parts when i was building a Datsun 240z.

However 3rd party companies can buy the design rites for certain parts from makers. This is why muscle car restoration shops do not have that big of an issue sourcing some OEM discontinued parts.

Gubment requires a 10 yr supply chain. After that, it's up to the market.
