Making the 99 spec bumper seem "lower"

I have a plateless version of the 99 spec front bumper with feed side skirts and although i love the front bumper, it just seems too high IMO. does anyone else feel this way? it feels as if the front lip angles upwards (maybe for more clearance?) I hate it. If anyone else has this problem, have they thought of any solutions? I was thinking about putting a splitter under the 99 spec lip but i doubt it would help that much.......

or maybe do i just have a shoddy knock off?

an aftermarket lip for it, like autoexe, would give the appearance of it looking lower.
