Question M2 Roll Bar

Does anyone out there have the M2 Performance Roll Bar and supports. Is it well made? Difficult to install? etc.

I know that Cusco makes rollbar for our FD:

4points-$399
6points-$750

Tony at Rxecret7.com can get it for you.

Greddy is the official u.s. importer for Cusco, so any greddy dealer can get Cusco parts (i.e. Jason at the rx7store). Also since we are comparing roll bars, what about the r.e. amemiya bar? It looks to work with the factory bins and seats just fine, and is supposedly F.I.A. approved. anyone know how much this bar would set me back?

I sent an email to www.bcautodesign.com about the cusco roll cage.

"we can order CUSCO roll cage for you. 6 points in CAD$1200.

Takes 60 days"

so around $760 in u.s. $ not sure how much shipping would be to the u.s.

I would like to find a pic of the cage or maybe someone else has one.

Thanks,
James

Cusco rollbar

Hey guys, If you saw last months issue of Turbo magazine with that killer single turbo FD (Lamborghini orange), it had the cusco cage. Some of the pictures showed it, however, since it is made for righthand drive cars they mentioned that the turn signal has to be modified for it to fit. If you can find out how much it weighs as well. M2's piece weighs 26lbs. with the upgrade rear strut brace

don't you have to modify that roll bar to make it fit? at that cost is it worth it?

I don't think you have to modify the roll bar it self. they said something about the turn signal. i think it depends on the total cost. any custom cage is going to run you over 1200 for something decent. And anything made of Chrome-moly tubing will be higher too.

the m2 bar is over 1100 and does not have all there options and that is not even for a full cage.

cheapest is the autopower bolt in rollbar.

only one i have seen is the autopower unit.

kirk racing full cage? not sure price. looks to be good quality, but I don't like how the cage bars come straight down by your leg.

autopower rollbar is around $350-400
M2 depends on the options. steet is $725 up
cusco 6pt cage is $760 from a place in canada. so with shipping who knows. but the same applies for the rest too.

My only concern is real safety they all provide.

i have the autopower bar and its great! the bins are still functional. only thing i didnt like was the fact that small peices of the interior had to be trimed.
