where can i purchase Recaro rails? Currently using Bride rails on my SPG but if recaro rails will clear the door panels, that would be great.

Yes, higher than bride brackets, that is the reason why it clears the panels...I believe about an inch higher

Will fit

1. Stock FD Seats (does this really need to be on the list?)
2. Recaros from the Spirt R
3. Gias Lowmax
4. Bride Zeta III
5. Bride Vios III lowmax
6. Mazdaspeed Type-F
7. Memoryfab s58
8. Corbeau - some models, they supply the custom racks.

10. Recaro Profi and or SPG ( with slight rubbing to the door but not much, if you use Recaro rails instead of bride it will fit fine)
11. Sparco Roadster
12. Sparco EVO with stock seat rail (shoulder bolster will rub on the door)
13. Sparco Milanos
14. Memory FAB S58
15. Recaro RS-G Limited

Will fit with modifications

1. Corbeau FX1 - fits with seat modification. Corbeau FX1 Install in FD

3. Rx-8 seats (can be made to fit by modifying the racks)
4.Cobra Imola (with some minor triming of door side shoulder wing)
5. Sparco Torino 2 (modify the stock rails and get rid of the seat belt buckle they fit (barely))
6. Recaro Sportster CS seats placed on stock rails (tight fit) http://users.telenet.be/sammyrx7/ima...29_JPG_jpg.jpg

Does anyone have pics of a Recaro SPG w/ Bride rails installed, where the shoulder touches the door? I'd like to see how much it rubs. Thanks in advance.

Personally If I were doing seats again I would pick the Cobra Racer Pro. They are FIA certified and a special narrow fit. Only 20.25" at the shoulder and 17.75" at the base. They are very similar in looks and shape to the OEM RZ/Spirit R Recaros but you can use a 5/6 point harness. http://www.cobraseats.com/Racer-pro

I love my OMP WRC seats, but they do cause a 1/4" indentation in the door panel.

I have a Recaro SPA on Bride FG rails. Rubs slightly at the top. I just to to modify the bracket to be able to lower it a little. I might go with the Nagisa Super Low seat rail though. http://www.more-japan.com/nagisa-aut...-rail-slr.html

Rspecfd has Recaro Pole positions in his car on Bride FO rails. The seats rub on the doors a bit.

The Cobras run about $700 a piece, which is pretty normal for an FIA approved seat. My OMP's were $750 a pop and I think most Recaro seats are in the $700-800 range.

I couldn't wait 4 months for another blue seat, so I bought a black. Colors of my seats don't match, but I swapped the pads so they each have some black and some blue, lol.

For the Sparco Evo 2 seats, does anyone know what "seat modifications" need to be made?

Haven't really seen much of the nagisa seat rails mentioned. A lot of 240 guys run this brand and their rails do sit pretty low from what I hear

I'm looking to try a set of stock 99 miata seats to see how they fit, I'll post up my results here. Basically these.

I bought some recently to try with my Recaro SPG seats. I was disappointed with them for four reasons and have since returned them.

1. The side mounts are welded to the rails so that they do not accommodate multiple width seats. The holes where the rails mount to the floor pan are elongated slightly from side to side to remedy this design flaw.

2. The sliders do not slide back nearly as far as stock. The front of my buckets were about even with the front rail to floor pan bolts. This means there was a good 4-6" of additional space before the bucket would hit the bins. ( I am 6'3")

3. The locking mechanism is only on one side of the rails unlike the stock rails. Meaning one side locks and the other is free to slide back and forth. I am not sure if this would be a problem but it seemed like an inferior design to me.

4. They claim to fit Recaro SPG, but the seat still hits the door enough where I wouldn't use them even if I wasn't too tall for them.
