how comfortable are those corbeau cr1's? do they have any decent lumbar support? i also wonder do these aftermarket seats sit at the same height as the stock ones?
the stock seats kill my back sometimes.

And for those interested in Recaros....the Bride seat rails for FDs fit the SPG/SPA perfectly.

rxmfr7.... i would really suggest getting a harness bar instead of using your strut bar... the harness is only affective if is at a 45degree or just a bitter higher... scince yours is at a lower point if you get into even a minor collision the harness will crush your shoulders and compress them into your back.
btw... this has been tested.

Thanks for the advice on these Buddy Club seats. They are pretty good quality when it comes to race seats. I like your more subtle color but, finally decided to take the leap and go for the red ones to intruduce a bit more color into my FD interior. I like them.
I decided to intall them just with the Cobra sidemount plates and no sliders. This way I could keep the installed weight down to 17 lbs. (13.5 seat and 3 lbs for Cobra plates, plus hardware), a savings of 17+ lbs per seat.
I really do not understand why most people have to use sliders. Sliders are heavy. The stock ones are close to 10lbs per seat. I suspect most owners are the only drivers of their cars so, there is really no need to install all that adjustibility into both seats.

On the door side I mounted the Cobra plates to the floor after strenghtening it with a couple of pieces of 1/16" metal plates on the outside and some aluminum 1" tall block on the inside so that the doorside rail had the same height and angle as the inside rail.
I mounted the stock seat belt clips to the Cobra brackets.
It is a tight fit but, definitely doable.

If you can't have Momo/sparco/recaro, I love those MemoryFab ones because they don't say "MemoryFab" blattantly on them. I'm not a label hound necessarily, but there's no way in hell I could run around with anything blattantly branded "Buddy Club" on it. Sounds like a gay afterhours joint. "Bride" isn't much better. I guess I could have that as a passenger seat and get mine custom embroidered to say "Groom".

Oh, well... we could just duct tape over those labels or, just swallow our prides and take the 34 lbs weight savings and all the discomfort that goes with racing seats over those slippery leather ones.
Having racing blood flowing my arteries, I'd do FAR more for just the weight savings than have a silly logo behind my back...

Are buddy club seats FIA approved. Are Memory Fabs???
What the deal with seats without a Approval sticker??? Every seat I'v ever had in my race cars were FIA approved so I'v never seen what will happen if you don't have a sticker.
