For those with the RE taillamp appique, these would be practial. For the rest of us, just expensive, but cool.

Thanks David for posting this. Ever since I installed HID's I've been wanting to upgrade my parking lights to something brighter than the "blue"bulbs.

Does anyone know what sizes the FD Parking wedge bulbs are?

That web page is way too visually busy to look at. I gave up.

They are 168/194. Get the Super White LED wedge bulbs. These things are nice because they're very bright.

The bulbs are also sometimes called W5W. I ordered two different types of white LED bulbs for my 99 lights from http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm: a pair of the single LED bulbs, and a pair of the 4 LED bulbs. The single LED was way too dim. The 4 LED bulb was a bit too blue for me. I guess the choice is your's... either sort of blue, or ugly yellow.

Here's a very crude set of comparison pics: http://srdaugherty.home.insightbb.com/pics/

Scott,

Can you tell me which ones? I have 99 signals.. Mine are too yellow, especially with my HID's. I would like to get the 4 LED.. but don't know which bulb.. catalog number would be great..

Thanks!

Looks pretty sweet, Scott!

I have one concern. Does the white LED replacement really have much of a blue tinge to it, or was that a camera artifact? The police don't like seeing blue lights on civillian cars...

From the site I linked above, I bought catalog number WLED-W4 (4 LED). It looks like they've got a 5 LED model also, which is probably even brighter.

The digicam actually did a better job of showing the color difference than I anticipated. I don't know if the police would say anything or not, since the LEDs aren't much bluer than some of the HIDs I've seen on the road.
