^^^ That's got that swing out look to them. I'm looking more for the true Lambo look - straight up or as close to it as possible, like the blue Amemiya car.

I am looking for a volanteer to bring in your 1993 - 1997 Mazda RX7 so I can finish creating the lambo doors for that vehicle. The car must be a car that has not been in an accident.
Check out my site. http://www.carexcess.com/vdc
I am offering this kit at $800 off normal installed price.
This modification will cost the volunteer $1500 and will look just like the picture http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/retuden/...dy/greddy5.jpg
Normal retail price $1900 and installation will be $300 - $400.
More information is available at http://www.carexcess.com/vdc/
Please call me at 727-585-7878

Damn, you're local to me...very tempting but I just finally got my car back.
How long would it take you and what sort of warranty are you backing it up with? I'm in Clearwater.

Come see me in person.
I am open 7 days a week and would love to have a local RX7 with lambo doors.
Would take 4 - 5 days of us having the car. Comes with a year warrenty on anything related to the hinge.

I'm wondering if this manufacturer/installer has a HUGE liability policy to cover them against claims from injury/accident due to modifying parts on a car certified for crash test by the auto manufacturer? I could see an insurance company voiding an injury claim from a side impact if the doors have been modified. Do these doors pose an issue with insurance coverage?
What's the opinion on this?
BTW: it looks like the re-amemiya door hardware is much more substantial than the other door mechanisms shown on your site.

Well, I'll go there since they are local and I'm interested sometime this week and report back... Hopefully I'll be able to see the setup on some other cars in person.

u know ive had ppl ask the same thing be4, and while im no expert on the doors (that's wut carexcess is for), i can tell u this. all they modify is the hinge/stop that limits how far out the door can open, and they add a hinge to make it swivel up. there's absolutely NO modification of the lock mechanism of the door. the door still closes in the exact same manner it closes originally. lock mechanism is the same, etc. safety crash tests are conducted w/ teh doors CLOSED...so as long as you dont modify the door frame, or any components that are of structural integrity, than i couldn't imagine why you'd have an issue w/ insurance.
that's just my take on it....

I think the RX8 would look pretty cool with a full side gull wing.
Now that's where this company could make some money.
I'm not so sure the FD looks like it wants or needs a stock door doing a lambo thing. But I look forward to see it in action.

Hi there everyone,
I'm Bill from importprecision.com. We will be releasing a VLS (vertical lift system) specifically designed for the RX7. You can see pics of our kit at the website.
I'm new to the RX7 forum, but I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone might have. We don't have a release date just yet.... but its coming up.
