Just curious, does this follow the big "no-no" theme?

Just curious, does this follow the big "no-no" theme?

Everyone seems to love this car, and hopefully by next spring mine will be just like it (except not red!!).

Now, if you notice, he added the Spirit R badges on his fenders near the side markers. I think they look good, but this car isn't a Spirit R. Soooo, does this fall into that category of getting flamed for having inappropriate badges?? You know, Type R on a GS...Z28 on a V6 Camaro...5.0 on a V6 Mustang..etc, etc.

I think the car is beautiful and well done, the badges look great...but then again it isn't a Spirit R so will there be haters???

I plan on putting a spirit R badge on my car, in honor of the 7. People may speak out against it, but it's your car, so do what you want. As far as general people go, I don't think many people will know what a Spirit R is, to even consider your car to be something more special than it already is.

My vote = go for it.

IMO, yes, that's a no-no.

But, I'm not the kind of person who flames people for what they decide to do to their cars. I think you should do to your car whatever you want. It's your car and your money. The only person you SHOULD be trying to please is yourself, not this forum.

I would say it's a no-no, but then I don't like emblems.

I personally wouldn't put it on unless my car was pretty damn fast. I think the Spirit R emblem is a lesser version of the "GT-R" or "Type-R".... you have to have a respectable car to deserve it
That's just me though. Anyone with $130 has the right to put them on their car.

Wll guys, I was just wondering. I'm not thinking of doing it, but the car is so beautiful, and then those are on there, I was just wondering what people thought.

As for the front with the plate.....I think it looks better than the Pettit version actually. So long as you put the nameplate there like that car has, and not a real license plate.

Anyone know where you could get one of those "RX-7" nameplates?

IMHO, I'd put the $$$ for the "special" badges into some other go-fast parts.
