Just bought a set of recaro SRD. Need help~!
Just bought a set of recaro SRD but my body shop just told me the bracket will not make the seat fit in the car cause the seat will touch either the door or window unless I custom made one. I want to know anybody made those brackets? Any shop in bay area~? I do need to get this done asap since my seats are just sitting in my room now. Please ~! any help will be appreciate~! Thanks~!!

The best way to mount most aftermarket seats is to adapt your stock sliders to the seat. Which usually means fabbing some spacers or reducers to make the slider bolts and the seat bolts line up.

I was under the impression that you could not make the RECARO SRD fit in an FD, I have done lots of research on that particular topic. I notice that you are in California, maybe you could contact wedge metal fabricators in Long Beach, (562)633-1663. I heard that they make a lot of the aftermarket brackets for RECARO , I called them before and there was nothing being made at that time but, they do do custom work. Maybe if you left your car there they could fabricate some for you . I have been inside of my FD trying to measure to see if the SRD's would fit and man did it look like a tight fit, It looked like the side bolsters would hit the door regardless of what you do. That is why I I am saving up for the Bride Ergo's. Good Luck, Keep us posted as to what happens, I would be interested in hearing what happens .
