Seats swapped, now color?

My wife bought a pair of 2nd gen seats for my FB this Christmas, and now that they are installed (straight bolt-in no rail-swaps required) I would like to change the coloring from gray to black. I already have a black carpet kit lined up, and am mainly interested in the door panels and seats.

Does anyone here have any experience with this? Searching the interior forum didn't return any hits that dealt with this.

Thanks.

Another pic (ignore the mess on the carpet)

I know I've seem some posts re: painting the panels, etc. in the 1st Gen forum. Check there. BTW, nice seats - I've been trying to pick some burgundy cloth ones from an FC to put into my 85 GSL.

go to an upholstery shop and get it done right. It's not crazy expensive. I got a quote of $200 to redo the interior of my fd from tan to black--they use a special dye. $400 a seat to redo the leather with new leather.

The glory of the "internet age" is that anything can be bought if you desire it. I'll search the 1st gen forum for the panels, but the dye question is still in the air.
