having seen both colors in person many times (there`s an IBM 99 that is parked on my way to school every morning, and I have seen several spirit R`s on the road here in Tokyo) I have to say that they are both absolutely gorgeous colors, but I would have to lean slightly to IBM. It really is a beautiful color that you have to see in person. Pictures just don`t do it justice. The titanium grey is a very cool and unique color, but there`s just something about IBM that goes so well with the curves of the FD...Either way you can`t go wrong.

i think if you want a very nice color that is low key go for the spirit r grey, if you want something that will attract a little more attention go for the blue.

both are very nice looking..

at times like this i like to depend on mr washington.

first you toss the coin and say heads or tails

then you gotta realize you have to assign something to each and then you toss it again

What is the actual name for the navy blue paint color. I like that the best... or I should say I used to until I saw the Spirit R.

Hey guys,
Yea i acutally decided to get it painted IBM.....And I got my car back already. I posted it up some days ago, but here is the link to pics of my baby.

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=129722

I am glad I got it painted IBM. The Titanium Grey is really nice in person (spirit R) but the blue just blew me away after i got it painted. Enjoy.

Read this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ghlight=spirit

Also, to answer the original question.... Damn, it's tough! I think I'd have to go with IBM. Both are beautiful, but every time I see an FD in IBM my jaw just drops.

I could have a set of BBS and a set of Chrome wheels for daily driving for less than those Spirit R rims. That price is ridiculous. I could prolly take a trip to Japan and bring them back for half that if they're selling for 1000 over there, although I don't know about customs taxes. And to keep this halfway relavent to the thread, I would rather spend the 4000 on getting my FD painted Titanium Grey.

I was thinking the same thing before I got my car painted. It was either gonna be Titanium grey or Innocent blue. I choose the blue because I just love that damn color so much. I got the entire car done. Engine bay and all. The paint codes are 20p=innocent blue & 25g Titanium grey.

Well your car looks great man, welcome to the club.
Thanks for the kind words Drew and Chris.
