if i paint my car spirit-r....
would it be rice of me to slap on a spirit R emblem?
also, is it a sticker or what?
and do the spirit-r's have stickers on both side of the car or just one?

i'm currently doing just that. i don't consider it rice, because the differences between the cars are minor as long as you do the '99 updates. the stickers are on both sides of the car. i recommend you talk to jason at jt-imports about getting them. he gave me a nice discount from what they were on his site

I would worry about the $$$$ paint job before sweating details like emblems
*Then I would worry about how the car would look painted dk gray with a tan interior.
**Then I would worry about how gas will hit $3/gallon by summer......

Take your argument to the Civic case: if the LX owner dropped a new engine in and upgraded the suspension and wheels, would it be ok to put the Type R sticker on then?

no, but it's often been accepted to put efini emblems on an fd. it's not an efini, so how can that be okay, but not the spirit-r stickers? i just love the spirit-r, but i'm not willing to import one

it's not just a sticker. it's like a piece of stamped metal with raised lettering and clear coating. it's a pretty thick piece actually, almost as thick as the front and rear emblems

In all reality who the f*ck cares? Everyone has a different opinion, and in all reality do what makes you happy, you're the one who has to like it. I've seen far worse done to FD's on this forum then putting Spirit R badges on one.

i dont consider it rice. Efini badges arent considered rice. "Flying M" badges arent considered rice. so why not the Spirit R badges if you're going Spirit R colors?

Everyone: I consider Acura owners putting Honda symbols on their car the exact same as I consider Mazda owners putting Efini symbols on their car. US RX-7's arent Efini's and US Acura's arent Honda's. Dont consider it rice, but it is the same difference. "Making your car something it's not." I quoted that because I dont go by it; it's not a quote from me, but I have heard it. putting "Lambo" (scissor) doors on your car is also making it something it's not. Putting on ANY non-stock part is making your car something it's not. If you want the car to be what it is, leave it 100% stock. Unless you do that, you have no room to say anything about what someone else is doing.

thats why I just always shave my emblems and let people play the guessing game on what type of car it is.. Hell, everytime I go somewhere I come back to like 4 or 5 people standing around my car asking what it is.. I tell them "Ford probe with a bodykit" and leave spitting a nice fat flame
