idea on mounting seats, would it work?

hey guys i just got some DAD seats for my FD and have to figure out a way to mount them. i think i may have thought of the easiest way to do it but im not 100% sure it would work. Here is what i was thinking...

alright quite obvoiusly the DAD seats have different mounting locations than the OEM units. In this case the DAD seats form a much smaller rectangle if you look at the distance between the 4 bolts. what i was thinking was to use the factory brackets/rails/sliders (whatever you want to call them and first line up the vertical axis by drilling 2 new holes into them while using the side you chose not to drill on as a base point. from here i was thinking i could get a strip of steel or metal to mount between the two holes but make sure the metal strip keeps the factory spacing correct. from here i was thinking of drilling two holes in each of the metal strips that go between the two brackets to line up the horizontal spacing. then i would bolt the seats to the factory sliders/brackets/rails and mount them like i was putting the original seats back on. i know this plan does not factor in how i would remount the receiving end of the seatbelt, but could this idea work? i know i would have to mount the seats just right so that they will fit in the tight space. any ideas or concerns would be much appreciated. here is a link to an MS paint drawing illustrating what im trying to say.
the white circles represent the original factory holes for the seats and the red circles indicate anything that would need to be drilled.

actually one of the mounting points on the DAD seats is wider and one is narrower, but the same idea would still apply =D
