hello guys, im planning to paint my car with hvlp paint system. but how much paint do i need to paint whole(3gen) car? im think to spray just one coat each. i mean prime/base/clear. currently my car is brillint black, my choice will be same color. once again how much paint/primer/clear do i have to purchase from paint shop?? and what is your recommend paint brand? thanks.

Not sure how much primer but I believe for a decent job you need at least 3-4 coats base and 3-4 coats of clear. Is this your first time painting a car?

 

yes, this one will be my first time painting a car. then how many gallon of paint/clear do i need each coat?? i just want to buy paint what i need.

 

1 gallon of paint is plenty if you've got a good gun and compressor.
