how much to install body kit?

i recently purchased a bomex full body kit (front, sides & rear) and wanted to know how much is the going rate to have them put on and painted. Also is it worth the extra to get it molded on versus bolted on? some have said good thins about both.

Any aftermarket fiberglass body pieces will require fitting and repair work as part of the installation. The amount required will vary with the quality of the pieces. I would not mold the pieces to the body, the seams will crack.

The cost depends entirely on your area and the quality of the job. Here in the Cali Bay Area, a body kit install and full quality paint job would START at $5k and go up from there.....I'm sure other places in the country would be more like $3k and up.

I have installed and molded plenty of body kits. Its not that hard to mold it so it wont crack. You just have to use the right fillers and secure it the right way. I would try and put the kit on urself first. It is kinda tedious(spelling) but it saves 60 bucks an hour for a body shop to do it. Plus nothing looks better than molded kits.

If you want to see how good it looks check out my website in my sig and look at my old Civic. The side skirts, back bumper and all side mouldings were moulded. it makes the car flow really nice when there are less lines. And let me add, I loss control on a on-ramp and flew 20 feet off of it and landed in the slow lane and none of my mouldings cracked. Just the actual bumper itself from hitting the ground when my springs compressed all the way
