How do I remove mirror triangles?

How do I remove the plastic mirror triangles on the doors of an 3rd gen? I bought the re amemiya ad9 side mirrors and that is the only thing stopping me from installing it.

So How do I remove them without breaking it?

When my brother bought his FD, that same little triangle was missing. He latter found it in the cubby hole, and said that it simply snaps on. Your best bet is to get a plastic spatula or knife and GENTLY pry it off. Mazda plastic is not the strongest plastic around. Good luck and tell me how it goes.

well the good news is, I was able to pry it off without breaking it..

The bad news is I will probably have to drill holes on the other side so I can srew the mirror on..

Well its to late to do it now so it will be a project for tom.

Why do you need to drill holes? The new mirrors don't use the factory holes?
