Safely remove paint from a Carbon Fiber hood?

Safely remove paint from a Carbon Fiber hood?
Is there a way to remove the paint without damaging the Carbon fiber? As I'm sure sanding would be a bit scary, is there a chemical that would eat paint but not damage the fiber?
