You have the non-Bose system, right?

Great Link.
I'm not sure whether after market speakers will guarantee that more power handling and bass reproduction.
The problem is that the speakers have no proper closed volume. So sound waves before and behind the speaker are working against each other ("acustical short circuit"). The lower the freq. the worse it becomes.
The only "box" is the trim. Please be sure to make aftermarket speakers at least as airtight as the stock speakers by fixing e.g. some foam rubber at the edges of the speakers.

That link is very detailed but I have the bose. I think the only thing different is the wiring, so I have to get an adaptor right?

There should be no wiring for rears in the Bose because it's used by the sub tubes in the trunk.
You will have to get speaker grills from a non Bose. As far as i know you should have boxes instead, right?
