trying to figure out what do i need to do to disconnect the factory alarm since i'm putting in an aftermarket one?

 

i thought i remember seeing somewhere that u jus ground the wire on the hood latch or something, cause if the hood is opened, not triggering it, you're alarm won't come on, so if u disconnect it, no alarm
