Phil,

hey man it's Charlie. the lights look great! how do they compare to stock, and did you keep the stock plastic lenses? i was thinking about getting an HID kit like that and using glass lenses from the euro-spec FD's so that the light pattern is smoother. (i assume it would be smoother anyway, i've never looked into it)... also, does the light affect oncoming cars? cops in my area are big about pulling you over if your lights are too bright... and how does the light compare to an OEM system offered on say BMW, Acura, etc... ?

sorry for all the questions! looks fantastic

-Charlie

Charlie,

Good to hear from you again..

Well, its pretty damn bright.. but it could just be because the car is in my garage.. I'm going to test drive it tonight.. Hope its slightly better.. or at least less bright..

I might have to point the lens down a bit.. also, I took the inner shield in the lens.. I think it blocks the light slightly.. so, its brighter.. I'll take some more pics tonight compare to my legend.. Maybe lt will be o.k..

But they are definitely brighter.. I mean by a lot!!

How hard was the install for the HID's? Thats exactly what I wanna do with my car. I hate the stock lighthing, but love the look of the pop-ups when they're down.

Your car is gorgeous by the way. I love it!

It definitely makes a huge difference.. I been driving around tonight.. just came back..

I'm now thinking about getting the stock 99 fogs into HID's.. I think someone has done this before.. I have to look into it.. I think it was some guy in Japan..

Herb - very cool... the difference in visibility is astounding compared to stock, no?

take a look at my install page

FD3S HID Install

I have heard that the ballasts dont like to be exposed to the elements, so I found a great place to mount them that might work for you too...

Can you get a pic of them against a garage door or something for a beam pattern comparison?

Oh and the stock fogs are H3, the kit is available but about the same prices as the H4 Kit
