Help with scoot style hoods
Im looking for a picture of the underneath side of a scoot style hood. I know there are a couple of different types and I need to find out which one will clear my engine. I know one of them has a tunnel that runs underneath for the front scoop and thats the one I don't want. Please help me!

Seibon or Vis don't have the tunnel you are refering to. I believe the only with the tunnel is the real scoot hood and its FB.
Check this thread and see post #23 for the difference between seibon and ViS. Mine is the yellow one BTW so I know it does not have the tunnel lol. With the Vis hoods you can actually see the engine bay through the center vent (of course this depends on how the pic was taken).

Quality wise seibon and ViS are up to par with each other. They both fit good and the quality is good. Ease of intallation? dude it's a hood... The main reason to choose one of vs the other is mainly for aesthetics.
It's very smart to add hood pins as fiberglass (where the latch is located) is typically not a load bearing material. Better safe than sorry. Some people go without them and have actually gotten to speeds up to 140+ but just because they didn't see a problem it does not mean that over time a crack won't develop.
A heat shield is not necessary as the hoods are vented.
