Help!!! New Paint Job Pending Color Decision

Winter project is to paint my 7. Almost got her completely stripped: want to paint Gunmetal or Platinum-like color NOT gray though, maybe charcoal. Need a good example so as to find correct paint code . Please post recomendations of color. examples (pictures) would be greatly appreciated. I saw Cadillac has some new colors such as "Moonstone", "Stealth Gray"
Too many choices,... Help
Thanks, Mark

I would definately go with one of the exact factory colors offered that year. My personal choice would be the gold metallic one. I dont think its the bronze color, it looks more like a shimmery gold and had metallic flakes. I have seen a few cars with this original color, and it looks the best on a 7, I think.

Gunmetal! Somewhere, I think in the first gen forum while looking to see what color for my 1 st gen, I ran across a pic of an gun metal 85. I fell in love with the color. Everyone else is pushing me to stay with the orginal color. I think you should paint the car the color you choose. Just my female opinion.

Hot pink with turquoise polka dots, and fluorescent green spandex seat covers will turn heads for sure!

paint it Acura Integra Type R Championship White or the brightest white you can get then go to http://cpracing.ca/cgi-bin/online/storepro.php & get the black housing projectors & then buy some Hids & your car will look hot.

You and me both, man. Right now I'm planning on Shadow Silver Metallic, a dark S5 Silver - code 3G. It's a rare color and no one seems to have a pic of it. I'm pretty sure my front bumper is SSM though.

^ interesting idea... I'd definitely stay within the confines of Mazda paintcodes. Everyone always says "championship white", but the only way I'd do it is if I had a Honda. I'd go with any stock 'Rx' color. I personally like the stock white color, but I also like the silver on the rx8. Dude, whatever floats your boat. I think that whatever you get, you'll like.

I was painting my FC a few months back and if i wasn't selling it i was going to paint it the Rx8 Titanium Metallic. It's a gorgeous gun metal look, one of the best colors i think. Not sure of the paint code but your local body/paint shop should have a book of all new factory paint chips and codes. Best of luck.

p.s. Prep is 99.99% so do it right the first time, spraying is the fun part. Whatever you do, don't rush it.

I don't know if you have made your decision yet, i've only been on the board for a few days, but there is a color out there "Java Black Pearl" that looks GREAT. It's a black base with gold flake in the paint. When the light reflects, the gold flake looks amazing.

Once again folks, thanks. and please keep 'em comming. '05 RX8 Titanium Gray Metallic, gotta love it. Anyone have pictures of '89 RX7 Tornado Silver Metallic? Or is it plain gray?
Also, saw Ford police car color Titanium Pearl Metallic very cool.
Thanks

Pullman Brown. The color of UPS trucks. It is said to be the cleanest looking paint around. Dont beleive me? Walk up to a UPS truck and run your finger (mantle dust test) and see how much **** comes up with it. Now, take a step back and look at it. As dirty as the truck is, it still looks shiny and new.

It just looks like a rich black from a distance. At night most people don't even notice the flake until they get up close to the car. I went to a car wash fund raiser and the girls who were washing the car said "hey mister! do you know you have glitter in your paint!!".
