Help needed with rear speaker install on '96 2+2 non-bose
Hey guys,
So I just recently got my new RX7 and the rear speakers sound like crap so I went ahead and bought some replacements. I was going to follow the guide I found here:
Rear Speaker Replacement (non-Bose)
But in the instructions he says there are 3 plastic clips and 1 screw that hold the panel in place but I was only able to find the two as shown in the attached photo.
My question is where is the screw and extra fastener located? I looked all over but couldn't find anything.. I'm thinking these instructions might be wrong for a 2+2 FD cause there is that extra seat belt getting in the way of things.
Anyways if anybody could help me out that would be sweet.
Thanks!

I looked all over and I couldn't find that fastener... I might have missed it but I really doubt it. I think the whole panel is different in my car because it is a 2+2 with seats instead of the storage bins

Your not going mad, the rear quarters for the seats are a lot different to the rear quarters for the storage bins. I've got one out of my car at the moment, so give me 5 minutes and I'll take some pics for you.

From the front side you will need to remove both the upper and lower rear seatbelt mountings and the two plastic clips by the rear seat backrest.
The following is a picture from the back. Everything circled in red is a clip, post or bolt that holds the panel on:
Sorry about the size of the picture, but hope it helps!

Awesome thanks so much for the picture man.
So are these the steps I'm going to take to get it off?:
1. Remove the two plastic clips by the rear seat backrest
2. Remove the upper and lower rear seatbelt mountings
3. Then pry the the thing off? is there any tricks to getting the clips out or something I should know about?
Cheers!

Yeah step 3 was the hard part for me, as I didn't know where all the clips were on the back, so I just went with brute force and ignorance and pulled away! In hindsight, knowing where the clips are, and going slower, pulling in the right places would lead to less breakages. I would recommend working from the door edge, top to bottom, if that makes sense?
