help needed with new setup

I am trying to figure out the new system on my TII. I like tight bass and clean sound. No trunk shakers neede here. I waw thinking about getting the Cerwin Vega 6.5 Component set. Put the woofers in the shock towers. Stick the tweeters on the top corners of the windshield and put a decent pair 5.25 coaxials in the doors. Feed the sytem with a nice 4 way amp and seperate the comps with the supplied crossover. Tell me if this would be too weak on the tight bass side. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks

ALSO DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE DEPTH OF THE REAR SHPCK TOWER ENCLOSURES AS WELL AS THE DEPTH OF THE DOOR ENCLOSURES.

I typically avoid dashboard mount windsheld tweeters unless they are crossed over rather high.

Glass resinates at 3.5khz to 4.0khz, so if you put a tweeter in the top corners so that they fire towards the glass, they need to be at least 12Db down at 4khz (& preferably 24db down). If they are not crossed over like that and you get into the glass freq, then you loose your front stage imaging and muddy your highs (as well as tend to physically hurt your ears from the bad harmonic).

This also tends to leave a hole on the upper mid range, as most mid range speakers top off around 2.5khz to 3khz.

Furthermore you loose even more imaging if the tweets are more than 18 inches from the mids, and off axis more than 35 degrees.

Also: There are no door enclosures if you are replacing the door speakers. There is only a hole. As to the rear towers: there is plenty of depth, unless you have a GXL auto adjust suspension.
