Help me find a good amp.

I bought a couple Fosgate 12" subs for the FC. I already have a component set for the doors... Not sure if I'm going to run rear speakers or not, I don't know if I really need them. If I do, they will probably be just mid-bass or something.

Anyway, I'm looking for a multi-channel amp to run them all. The Fosgates are 200w/400w peak, so I don't need ten thousand watts...

I'm running a Ford (Pioneer) MP3 6 disc in-dash changer as a head unit, and would really like to run everything off the one amp. If one amp can't do this, I can go with two, but would really like to keep things simple with one amp if possible.

I have this amp MB Quart RAA 4200 and love it! running JBL components upfront 6.5" and 2 JBL subs 10" off this amp and it sounds amazing if you look for it on crutchfield they are having a sale on this amp. You will find nothing but great responses about this amp. By far the best bang for the buck. Have yet to find a complaint about the amp anywhere!

I would look into it.

Any of the Alpine MRV series on EBay will work great. If thats all your going to run, then a 4 channel amp will work great. Use 2 channels for the fronts and just bridge the 2 rears for your subs.

John, do you think that will be enough power to run the subs, or should I go with two amps? I'm putting this in my FC with an FD alternator, so I should have enough power to run a big amp or two amps.

If you can, run an amp for the speakers and one for the subs. They do sell 5 channel amps (30x4 and 150x1) that would be perfect. I've seen a few on EBay the past few days by Alpine that are going for around $150. Great Amps, I love their MRV series. I run an FD alternator for my car and yeah you will have plenty of power. Up until a week ago I used my headunit for all my speakers and just ran a sub amp, and it was real nice (you can do this).

Well, the only issue is, I'm not sure how much power the headunit has. In my Audi, I run the stock Bose system and two Kenwood 10s with a Kenwood amp... It's nice, but the subs can easily overpower the stock system.

Since I'm going with just 6 speakers, I'll probably do two amps... A two channel for the fronts and a monoblock for the subs.

I have always loved what MTX makes they seem to always be real true to box ratings. Stay away from read speakers they will make the music sound horrible unless your looking for more sound then bass, then I'd say you may want some nice rear speakers.

Boston makes some excellent stuff as well.
