well designing an audio system is like deciding what car to get, you have to know what you want out of it( bass or clarity with a punch, and how much you want to spend)
I recomend you visit www.elitecaraudio.com for the best answers

Well what I would have said anyway even if you were not being an a$$:
You should go talk and listen to your local car stereo shops. I can tell you what I think is the best but if you don't hear the same way I do chances are you may not like what I suggest.
So instead of asking everyone else to make up your mind, do some homework yourself and head out to the local shops and listen to what they suggest. Then ask them why they recommend something. Then make your own decisions based on what you like to listen too, what you can afford, and what you like the system to sound like.

im not an idiot, this is not the first (no where near) audio system i have "designed" if you want to call it that, i was just curious as to what you guys think are the best, i was thinking some JL 4" components in the front bc they are nice and loud, and pretty clear too, and some 6.5 MB quart 3ways in the back, not sure the series yet, i already have my 10s in a false floor in teh back, im just messing around, sorry about being an "a$$" earlier, just venting about my damn **** being in the damn shop 4 days past deadline..... long story.. appologies all

Some of us that come in and out of here are pros. I can speak for Icemark and I have over 12 years of professional car audio installation experience.
And he is right, I could design a system for you and you may think it sounds like crap. While I may think it sounds good, it depends on what you want your soundstage to sound like, how much bass. Quality of bass, etc etc... Best thing to do is shop around and dont be in a hurry. Also sometimes a shop with the best installers may not carry the brands you like, just be aware that when you put together your components take it to the best place. Even the best car audio installed wrong will make it sound worse than middle of the line stuff installed 100% Good luck...

I agree with Mike. Make sure your installer is of top quality and insures their work to a degree you feel comfortable with.
Another great audio board is www.sounddomain.com
Just out of curiosity, what kind of a setup are you looking for?
-Sound Quality?
-SPL?
-A healthy mix?
By your description, it looks (to me) that you might be leaning toward SPL a tad, though the MBQuarts are nice and clear most of the time.
Anyhow, give us a little more info. and maybe we can help you narrow it down. I just finished installing an SQ setup in my WRX. Not top of the line, but pretty nice.
