Help authenticating Bride seats

Hey guys. A while ago I bought a pair of Bride ViosIII seats. From what I had found searching, Im fairly confident they are authentic Japanese Bride seats. I want to drop them off at a local upholstery shop and have them leather wrapped. This will be fairly expensive, and I want to be 100% sure they are authentic brides and Im not throwing money away wrapping knockoff seats. I know theres a few guys on here that are pretty good with this stuff, so Id just appreciate a few other sets of eyes to verify authenticity. Thanks!

I looks legit to me.
It has all of the things a real Bride Japan seat would have.
Fakes generally don't have the clip that holds the fabric on.

From what I can tell in the pictures, the seat appears to be genuine although I would have to check it out in person to examine the seat material. Where did you pick the seat up from? If you bought it second hand, where did the seller purchase it from? What did you pay?

I purchased them from a forum member here about a year ago. They stated they were authentic and bought new through a bride authorized dealer. From what I can see, they appear real as well. Not that I don't trust the seller, but with all the fakes out there and how hard it can be to tell, I just want to make sure. I paid $1k for the pair. So if they are real, not a bad deal. If not, I got hosed . I just want to be 100% before dropping anpther $1k+ into upholstery.

Won't you kill the authentic value of them anyways once they are upholstered?

I have a fake vios that I got from ebay and use as a desk chair. I compared mine to yours a bit and looked at that zilvia site.

Mine has the exact same clip as yours to hold the fabric on. It also has the same tag that says made in japan.

After reading the zilvia and bride site is looks like bride never made a split bottom cushion - mine has the spit cushion. Also it looks like the fabric is supposed to be solid and not have the shoulder bolster which worries me about yours. Mine has it too and its a different material than the rest of the seat.

Here is a picture from a for sale listing currently by WorksConcepts, which is a forum vendor and authorized Bride dealer. Now yes, these seats are the Artis and not the viosIII.. but just for comparison:

By all things online Ive seen, most would view these as fakes I would think. They have split bottom cushions, and the bride gradation logos are cutoff where the fabric meets the black, which I believe onlne sites say it a sign of a fake. But these are being sold from a authorized dealer. SO.. yea confusion.

Prew: Are you sure yours are fake? All of the Ebay searching Ive done for fake brides, while they look almost identical all of them state not made in Japan.

Those side mounts don't come with Bride seats. They do however come with the fake seats (you can get them with a "logo") from Sonic Motors:

Yea I am sure mine are fake. I bought them new as a pair from a seller who had tons of them for sale on eBay. From what I remember they were $300 or less shipped for 2.

Some people believe the fakes are made in the same factory as the real seats though. Something about one of the employees from Bride leaving the company, going to the factory where they had outsourced production to in Taiwan and started his own business selling the fakes. Not sure if there's any truth to this at all, but that could make sense of why legit ones look like fakes and vice versa.

Its so difficult to tell anymore, its a shame. I may sell them and just go with another brand for piece of mind. I still think they are real, but not something you want in the back of your head on a racetrack.

If you are really worried get FIA approved seats.
