Headunit vs. Bose

I jus bought a 550$ jvc cd player to replace my stock bose system, and the installation place said i would have to buy new speakers and theyd have to rewire due to the bose system. I said it was Bs and left; what do yall think, i dont know much about audio system. thanks

My thing is i dunno anything about wiring up my cd player and im gettin sum1 else to do it for me; i jus wanna know what to tell them how to hook it up if they cant do it again. please put it in blunt english cause i dunno. thanks and sorry for troubling you.

i just hooked up a sony HU and kenwood DSP with the stock speakers.......also running a PPI amp. Yes, it can be done........took my brother a few hours.
