does anyone have any good diagrams, links, or advice about how to take off a rx7 93 touring addition head unit? i saw one diagram, but it was really off i'm not even sure if it was for an rx7, but it said it was.

yeah i finally took it out, but not like that! i went to auto zone and bought those din tools, but they didn't work! and it started to **** me off so i got to flatheads and plied then out by force! btw that diagram makes it look all easy but it's not

 

Ouch! It can be tricky to release the latches, but the standard procedure does work. I did mine with some bent-up coat hangers. You did remove the little panels at the ends of the stereo units to reveal the holes, right?

yeah but the thing is i think the latches or clips or whatever on my FD were like rusted to the sides!
