Unhappy Head unit install... help pls!

When i bought my FD it came with a pioneer 12 disc CD changer. However it skips horribly and i dont like it at all, so i went and bought another pioneer headunit and i began to take the old one out... and it would not come out. I took apart the dash and looked around the whole area that the headunit is in, i could not find any screws or bolts holding it in place, but it would not come out!

any suggestions?

There may be some metal clips/tabs that need to be pushed in on each side of the head unit for it to slide out...

The head unit slides into a metal sleeve and there are tabs that are pushed out of this sleeve to hold it to the opening for the head unit. As hub 01 69 mentioned, there are two clips (one on each side of the head unit) that holds it into the sleeve. You will need two thin pieces of metal to slide between the head unit and the sleeve to release it. If you can't find metal strips, I guess you can try a couple thin strips of stick, like a popsickel stick.
