Im very satisfied with the cover. It is functional because it has the hole in the back of it. I love the way it looks still need to get mine painted if you wanna see it I live in plano so I can show it too you sometime. My stock cover flew off as well at about 120 mph. But I like mine it looks really good and it does work. How well I do not know but I am getting rid of it as soon as I get my sleek light kit.

I had one and it doesn't do anything that you'd notice. It's just for looks.

I have one, and IMO it looks great. Technically, it is functional...but with a headlight in there it isn't going to do much. There's just no room for the air coming in to go anywhere. I removed the plastick blocking plate thing from the hood directly behind the light so a bit more air can squirm through, but don't waste your money if you're looking for a performance increase that you will ever notice. However, since you lost your cover anyway...

Its not completely for looks it just helps get some more FRESH air in there. Of course, even if you took you HOOD completly off you wouldnt notice a difference in power, but you would have more fresh air and cleaner air for your motor

Thanks guys. I really liked it more for the looks really. Thats good that it also pushes alittle more air in to the intake.

the more cold air that gets to the intakes, the better. i think taking off the hood would make a huge diffrence in intake temps, possibly making a noticable diffrence in power. however, i agree the feed light cover is mostly for looks even though it is functional.

added note * if you have an open air intake (i do), taking off the hood would affect the intake temp more than the stock box, it may not make a diffrence w/ the stock box
