1. It is a little over-the-top (it is ugly). I didn't used to think so but since that time, I have come to see the beauty in the stock FD's lines.
2. It is very expensive.

I'd say it's no more over the top than the new Veilside Fortune kit, but I completely understand the appreciation for the FD's curves. I'm not saying the stock FD is not a thing of beauty, quite the contrary. I'm just trying to find out if anyone HAS put it on, because it is so over the top, the magazine would almost certainly do a shoot on it.

I like reading magazines, especially ones with articles about RX-7s. I also take the above to heart before I read them.
Read what you want but remember that cars like the RX-7 are more fun when they are driven, not trailered.

ABSOLUTELY!! LOL!
As an aside, I'll let you know which issues they are, but we recently did a couple photo shoots on a couple different FD's. One is a show car that is actually beatin' on, the other is more or less a beater, but pretty.
Cars like ours are meant to be driven. Sitting pretty just isn't fun.

The next issue of Modified Magazine will be featuring an FD RX7 dressed in carbon and he drives her pretty hard. You guys might like to check it out. I loved her, got my *** kicked when I went for a ride in her.
