Has anyone done this???
Is there anyone out there who is running only a factory Bose head unit with aftermarket amplifiers and aftermarket speakers? If so, how did you do it? I called Crutchfield, and they said it was not possible.
Thanks for your help, you're awesome.

I don't think it is possible, or at least not practical. First you would have to make new rca outputs from the bose head unit (can be done, but why) to power amps. Then you would have to rig some kind of remote wire. Unless you really want to keep a stock look, just go with an aftermarket deck, it's sound better and look better.

Very very very wrong! I have done it! if you disconnect the rear bose system you can wire amplifiers directly to that clean sound source! the wire remote can also be hooked up to this power source. So shazaam there it is, some people are just morons!(MEANING THE COMPANIES!)

when you take out the rear bose system, there is a plug which you unplug. This plug has 6 connectors, two are for power and ground and the other 4 are for the speaker(amplifier) input. You have to get a cable with RCA on 1side and two male spade connectors on the other X2 and that's about it.
