hardwire a stereo?

i tried to read the FSM and haynes, but couldn't find info or couldn't process (i don't know how to read electrical diagrams don't flame please, i'm trying to learn). but if someone could tell me what color wire does what in an FC (FD the same?) it would help out a ton thanks

It would be easiest to use a multimeter. There are 3 main wires you need to find: constant 12v, 12v accessory, and ground. I had to do the same thing but did not bother to remember the colors because they were butt spliced with non stock color wires.

Oh by the way the other remaining wires will be the stock speaker wires and remotes for the antennaes I believe. I didnt bother with the stock speaker wiring since I have an amp.

i found the constant, but when the car is off i see some very low voltage trickling through other wires, what are they? is that normal?
