GTC side skirts installed

Thought I'd post a pic of the GTC side skirts installed. I think the car really needs a rear wing now, either the GTC or the Veilside. Do Engineering in Japan has a nice conservative GT wing, but I don't want to go through the hastle of importing it. Anyway, the GTC skirts should compliment the FEED Type II front end nicely.

So far so good...the ride quality does diminish when you lower the car. I "believe" I'm about 1.25" lower than stock. Low enough that I have to be careful about parking and going over less than flat pavement. It's fairly easy to scrape the 99-spec front splitter. Right now I have a setting of 6f/6r since the car is lowered to help keep it from bottoming out via a harder shock setting.

I think the side skirts look great. How hard was the install or did you get someone else to install them?

Actually, my body shop wouldn't install them at first. Fitment wasn't perfect, but it took me about an hour with a dremel/cut all to contour the edges correctly. After that they went on fairly easy although the passenger's side rubs the door. The body shop is going to fix that for me however. The shop did the actual installation and it's what I recommend you do as well.

why do you call them"Mazdaspeed GT-C" side skirts when they are in fact kockoffs, and not made my Mazdaspeed?? i think you should note that the "Mazdaspeed" (when in fact it is NOT Mazdaspeed) and soon "FEED" (once again, not made by FEED) products are knockoffs. i think that would have cleared up the fitment issue. it would make more sense if you note "knockoff" in yout sig too.

but the side skirts sure look good though!

Joe, really don't want to get into it with you. I think you know how I feel about you personally and your posts. Purchase a third gen first, get some REAL experience under your belt and then actually contribute to this forum and it's posts. Until then, just steer clear of me, ok? I guess you should put "poser" in your sig huh?

JoeD.....shut up

I really don't like the GTC style sideskirts. It's hard for me to like ANY sideskirts, really. If it looks TOO aggresive, then I don't like it. They have too many angles on it for my taste, but variety is good. We all can't be looking the same

I still like my OEM sideskirts better

Very Nice , those are my favorite side skirts for the FD, since they are so clean and fit even if you don't remove the mud gaurds... Btw did you take that pic when it was really cold?
