Exclamation Greddy ****

I just got my new Greddy counter weight shift ****. I love it so far, but since the **** is a lot shorter than stock, it leaves a gap between the boot and the ****.
What should I do?
Cut it?
I really don't have money for a short shifter right now.
Any suggestions?

Ghetto fix- wrap some electrical tape/ heat shrink tubing around the exposed part of the shifter.

Better fix- Get some vinyl/ leather and make a "extension" to your shift boot

I'm gonna be doing a full writeup on this at some point...

Had the same problem with my FC - the shift **** sat way up high. First off, measure and find out how much lower you want to go - on the FC I think I dropped it down an inch.

Remove the **** and hacksaw an inch off the shift lever from the top. Get a tap/die set and get the proper sized die to tap threads further down the shaft. The **** will then screw right in where you want it to go. Turned out awesome on the FC, and didn't take much work at all to accomplish.

like I said take the center console out ...with the shifter exposed wrap electrical tape around it so the leather that covers the shifter will sit on it therefore lifting the boot next to the shift ****...
